Vienna · Austria · 34th Edition
Five students from Dehradun, competing at the world's largest international commercial arbitration moot.
The Competition
The Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot is the world's largest moot court competition in international commercial law, bringing together over 400 universities from more than 80 countries each year in Vienna, Austria. Founded in 1993, it is built around the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG) and UNCITRAL arbitration procedure, and it puts students in front of experienced international arbitrators across multiple rounds of oral hearings.
For the UPES team, this is not just a competition. It is the beginning of a serious engagement with a field they intend to grow in. Five students. One problem. Vienna.

For Coaches and Mentors
We are a team of five building our first Vis campaign from scratch. Our moot court record spans IHL and ADR competitions at the national and international level. We are looking for practitioners and academics who can help us navigate the CISG and international arbitration procedure — people who want to invest time in a team that will take the work seriously.
For Sponsors
The Vis Moot represents an investment in the next generation of international commercial lawyers. Supporting the UPES team means helping a group of committed students from Dehradun compete on one of the most demanding global stages in legal education. If you want to be part of this journey, we would like to hear from you.
